Ping Monitor Pro is operated by Flux IT Systems, LLC(“Ping Monitor Pro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, dashboard, and Monitor Agent (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
The short version: we collect only what we need to run a monitoring service and bill for it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you create an account, plus your workspace/organization name.
- Billing information.Your subscription plan and status. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe returns only a token and limited details (such as card brand and last four digits) needed to manage your subscription.
- Monitoring data you configure. The hosts you choose to monitor (display names and IP addresses or hostnames), your alert rules and recipient email addresses, and the results your agents report — response times, packet loss, and up/down status over time.
- Agent metadata. To keep your fleet accurate, each Monitor Agent reports its own hostname, operating-system platform, and software version.
- Technical and usage data. Standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
- Communications. Messages you send us for support or sales.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including collecting and displaying your monitoring data.
- To send you the alert and recovery notifications you configure.
- To process payments, manage your subscription and trial, and send billing-related messages.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To diagnose problems and improve reliability and features.
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We do not use advertising networks or third-party ad-tracking cookies, and your monitoring data is never used to build advertising profiles.
How we share information
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers (subprocessors). We use a small number of vendors to run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us. Currently these include Stripe (payment processing), DigitalOcean (application hosting), and Cloudflare (network security and transactional email delivery).
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Ping Monitor Pro, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and this Policy will continue to govern your information.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Historical ping/monitoring data is retained according to your subscription plan’s retention window (for example, 3, 14, or 30 days), after which it is automatically deleted. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication, scoped agent credentials that can be rotated at any time, and least-privilege access controls. Our Monitor Agent is code-signed so you can verify its authenticity. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address issues.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the Service: a session cookie to keep you logged in and a security (CSRF) cookie to protect form submissions. Your light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can update most account details directly in the dashboard, or contact us at privacy@pingmonitorpro.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
International users
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.
Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as an email or an in-app notice).
